Mortgage Assistance

If you are having problems paying your mortgage – don’t wait – contact your mortgage company to see what options they offer.  You can ask about a forebearance (provides a short period of time without mortgage payments), loan modification (changes to your loan interest rate, amount owed, terms, etc), or any saving your home program that they offer.

If you are not getting help from your mortgage company – contact the agencies below to see what they can do to help negotiate a deal with your mortgage company.
NACA – The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (“NACA”) is a non-profit, community advocacy and homeownership organization. NACA’s primary goal is to build strong, healthy neighborhoods in urban and rural areas nationwide through affordable homeownership. NACA has made the dream of homeownership a reality for thousands of working people by counseling them honestly and effectively, enabling even those with poor credit to purchase a home or refinance a predatory loan with far better terms than those provided even in the prime market.
